Many new clients will start with issues in their daily movement, pain, stiffness, & weakness. These issues need to be addressed.
It starts with working on mobility,
Mobility will help you move better and help put your body back in balance. When your body is in better balance you are able to progress into more strength training. Strength training will address your weaknesses. You might have imbalances in your glutes for example, many endurance athletes do. By strengthening your glutes your knees are now more stable.
Many experts estimate that 70 percent of runners will deal with an injury at some point. Many of these injuries are minor, like shin splints, others are much more serious like Planter Fasciitis and Runner’s Knee. These injuries will start to affect other areas of the body since proper range of motion is lost and running mechanics are altered.
The benefits of mobility and strength training for endurance athletes continues to grow.
